I'm Joel Minton, an NCCA accredited certified personal trainer catering to the needs of seniors and gentle exercisers. As a former teacher in adult high school, I observed how lesson activities originally designed for younger learners (teens) did not suit the needs of our older students. It's also true in the world of fitness training.
If you have ever become discouraged, as I was, or even injured, by one-size-fits-all instruction or training programs, then you might appreciate the calling I experienced in 2018. I had a new sense of mission: to bring to people of all ages, abilities, and experience more inclusive and accessible methods of fitness, meditation, and cognitive exercise!
After a year of preparation in my certification programs as well as study of varied additional materials, I launched Active Living Fitness Coach, to be your supportive coach as you become invigorated with strength, balance, and confidence in your Active Life!
